Job Description

Team members are accountable for safe and effective execution of production operations following standardized work as well as support operations that include 5S, daily management support, and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). They are expected to build capability to proficiently execute multiple jobs to standard and participate in regular job rotation. Team members must show accountability for operational problems by participation in the development and implementation of short- and long-term countermeasures. Moreover, they are accountable to improve standardized work and production operations in general by contributing, and assisting in testing and implementing, new approaches and concepts. When they work alongside other team members who are being trained in their job, they should support that individual'l learning though the job-instruction-training (JIT) method. Since Team Members have responsibilities describe above, they are empowered as well with authority in their respective working areas.

Job Requirements

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
1. Safely make quality parts in the area you are assigned


2. Empower to monitor the work environment for safe working conditions and safe behaviors by others 


3. By learning the process of on the job training, develop full skill in the execution of standardized work for each process


4. Diligently executes Standardized Work during all production periods striving always for Excellence


5. Accountable for reporting weakness in standardized work to your Team Leader 


6. Accountable for learning the requirement of production readiness checks. Accountable for performing those checks diligently prior to the launch of production as required


7. Empowered to maintain 5S in the owned work area as assigned by Team Leaders and Supervisors.


8. Team Problem Solving- Participates and provides construction input for all problem solving activities undertaken by their team and/or supports other Gestamp personnel who have been assigned to resolve particular problems


9. Accountable for quality of parts produced


10. Accountable to perform, as required, quality checks pertaining to the operation 


11. Accountable for diligently following material handling procedures


12. Performs other assigned duties as deemed necessary or appropiate
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE


1. High School diploma or GED


2. Experience using a variety of hand and power tools preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES


1. The individual must be flexible relative to the work schedule including possible mandatory overtime


2. Accountable to work unsupervised


3. Accountable for predictable attendance 


4. Willing to cross-train and work in other areas
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION


1. While performing the duties of this job, the emploee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle, manipulate, or feel objects, tool or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk and hear 


2. Employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds


3. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time 


4. The noise level in the work environment is usually  moderate
