Job Description

JOB SUMMARY




The MRO Crib Attendant is responsible for inventory management and distribution/tracking for materials and services associated with the plant’s needs for maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO). Responsibilities will include coordination with the plant Buyer for processing of purchase requisitions and purchase orders associated with crib supplies and services. Experience in the manufacturing industry and a strong understanding of supply chain management concepts are required.




DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES




  1. Maintains and stocks all inventory within the crib as well as all lubricants, gases, cleaning, and safety supplies;

  2. Issues tools, equipment, spare parts, and PPE to team members, maintaining accurate recordkeeping for supplies issued and returned;

  3. Locates lost or misplaced tools, equipment, and materials;

  4. Receives, unpacks, and stores incoming tools, equipment, materials, spare parts, and other supplies and requisitions stock to replenish required inventory;

  5. Inspects and measures tools, equipment, materials, and supplies for defects and wear, and reports damage or wear to supervisors;

  6. Documents monthly records for fuel service reports;

  7. Monitors and documents all refuse and scrap hauling activity;

  8. Initiates purchase orders and amendments for maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) materials and services;

  9. Manages freight and logistics as required by the project scope; ensures that all deliveries satisfy the assigned purchase orders, and report any back-ordered or missing products;

  10. Maintain 5S in areas assigned;

  11. Performs other related duties as required, and special projects as assigned.


Job Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE





  1. High School Diploma or GED;

  2. Three (3) to five (5) years of MRO Crib experience supporting a manufacturing facility;

  3. Experience managing a tool crib, spare parts, inventory levels, min/max and reordering points, and energy cost savings;

  4. Demonstrated experience with vendor management;

  5. Working knowledge and understanding of plant material flow to support plant initiatives and cost saving opportunities.




KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES




1.     Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook);


2.     Experience with crib management software;


3.     Familiarity with SAP strongly preferred


4.     Knowledge of basic cost analysis;


5.     Highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities;


6.     Excellent verbal and written communication skills;


7.     Willingness to travel when required;


8.     Motivated self-starter and creative thinker seeking out opportunities for improvement;


9.     Ability to set priorities and determine resource requirements with limited supervision;


10.  Team-oriented and familiar with Lean Manufacturing principles;


11.  Strong business judgement.
