Job Description

JOB SUMMARY




The Material Scheduler / Analyst will apply supply chain knowledge to ensure necessary resources are available to meet the needs of the production schedule. Working closely with the Purchasing team, the Material Scheduler/Analyst will ensure materials are cost-effective and meet quality standards. This candidate will monitor the performance of vendors to ensure continuous on time delivery and quality.




DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES




  • Work with Engineering and Operations to determine the resources needed to meet production schedules;

  • Review weekly release data to accurately communicate production requirements;

  • Monitor and report receipts, production, scrap, and other inventory-related data to accurately maintain inventory levels of production material;

  • Analyze cycle count adjustments to ensure accurate inventory accountability, making recommendations to the MP&L Manager;

  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with Purchasing to maintain adequate levels of parts and raw materials to manufacture the product;

  • Resolve supply discrepancies working with internal teams and vendors;

  • Work to improve delivery times, cost, and quality of materials received from vendors;

  • Update pricing, lead-time, vendor part numbers, and other information in part master file;

  • Schedule production jobs to ensure proper product flow and on-time delivery to customer;

  • Perform updates on customer portals, meeting customer logistics standards and/or requirements;

  • Manage customer expectations by constantly monitoring delivery performance, and promptly responding to customer inquiries;

  • Ensure service part orders are achieved by following-up on requirements, scheduling production, and delivering to customer;

  • Create reports and presentations in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, employing 5S principles;

  • Cooperate with internal and external certification audits and customer audits, supporting site initiatives towards achieving and maintaining customer awards as well as quality and environmental certifications (IATF, TS, ISO);

  • Adhere to Team Handbook, Quality, Safety, and Environmental standards, policies, and procedures;

  • Perform additional tasks as deemed necessary and appropriate.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE



  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or related field;

  • Minimum of two (2) years of job related work experience in a manufacturing facility, preferably for an automotive OEM supplier.

  • Experience with SAP (ERP) and MRP systems.

2.     Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings;


3.     Excellent verbal and written communications skills;


4.     Desire to work in a team-based, lean-manufacturing environment;


5.     Willingness to travel for training, and as other business needs may dictate.
