Job Description

JOB SUMMARY



Provide exceptional customer support for computer users under a Microsoft based environment. Use discretion and judgment to address and solve technology related issues. Use knowledge and expertise to conduct research and coordinate efforts to solve issues by identifying Internal/External resources.



DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Working under direction, provide support to desktop/laptop equipment at assigned location for hardware/software installation, maintenance, test, and upgrade procedures.

  • Provide level 1 support for business systems and escalate for resolution where necessary to the proper teams.

  • Execute daily processes according to policy (backups, reports, documentation, and daily routines)

  • Identify, track and manage technology related issues via the available service desk tools.

  • Work closely with the Edscha IT team to solve issues and improve systems performance at assigned location.

  • Ensure the accuracy of information and data available to end-users.

  • Test hardware and software, making necessary changes to correct any issues.

  • Provision new systems for associates as per the company’s established computer refresh policy.

  • Swap iOS devices as needed.

  • Use judgment to determine which issues need to be escalated to management, vendors or suppliers.

  • Support the Company’s mission, vision, values and goals in performance of daily activities.

  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping throughout the work area.

  • Maintain a positive working relationship with all levels of the organization.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE





•        Enrolled in 4 year college degree in a computer related field



•        Some experience with MS platforms supporting Servers and MS Office applications




KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES





•        Ability to communicate effectively at all levels



•        Working familiarity with TCP/IP and networks



•        Familiarity with mobile platforms, specifically iOS



•        Hardware / Software setup & maintenance



•        Network Printer Management



•        Ability to work independently with little supervision



•        Strong problem solving skills



•        Spanish a plus




PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION




1.      Must be able to handle the physical demands of the shipping Operations. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus


2.      While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle, manipulate, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, talk and hear
