Job Description


Update, backup and troubleshoot PLC programming of electrical equipment, automation components, or systems for hot stamping automotive supplier.


  • Oversee and coordinate fixture changes in relationship to the mating product
  • Performs all required maintenance of automation programs and make changes as needed
  • Aids in the development of the automation continuous improvement
  • Troubleshoot electrical problems using electrical schematics and meters
  • Complete responsibility in safety PLC procedures
  • Develop and train on preventative forms for all equipment installed on floor
  • Supervises line rate efficiency to get a better result through PLC changes
  • Develop training program for maintenance associates
  • Supervises the robot operation to detect opportunities to reduce line cycle time
  • Design ladder circuits in PLC in order to get a better result in line efficiency rate
  • Ability to develop, troubleshoot, maintain software
  • Create and modify electrical schematics
  • Consult with supplier and team members
  • Develop off-line PLC, Safety PLC and PLC programming
  • Adhere to Quality, Safety, and Environmental Policies.
  • Understand and follow all required GPS standards.
  • Any task deemed necessary by Management.


Participates in the creation and support of systems, documentation and actions to assure conformance to Quality Systems (TS) and Environmental Management Systems (ISO).


Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering preferred.   At least 5 years Advanced Manufacturing Engineering experience.  Automotive experience a must.   Hot stamping experience preferred.
