Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
To operate and maintain Test Equipment in order to satisfy the demand for Product Validation, Cost Reduction and Quality Assurance. Testing of Company's Suspension System Products.
KEY TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES



  • To set up test equipment, based on written and/or illustrated work instruction

  • To assemble components, to test rigs and monitor progress through the test regime

  • To remove components after testing and arrange examination

  • To maintain thorough records of the testing events

  • To perform basic maintenance and housekeeping of the laboratory, assuring tests operate properly

  • To undergo training on advanced testing technologies such as RPC and NVH

  • To apply analytical technologies, such as working with applied strain gauges

  • To ensure effective communication with team members with regard to testing issues

  • To support testing related activities which might have been carried out in external Labs

  • To submit all deliverables (Test execution, Test reports, etc.), on time

Job Requirements

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE



  • Technical High School Diploma

  • Minimum of 5 years, hands-on experience in dynamic component and/or vehicle test lab environment

  • Certified Test Lab Technician, trained and certified to perform Crack detection via dye penetration testing

  • Trained and certified on all relevant safety procedures and work instructions to set up, operate and monitor independently high-pressure oil test installation and all other dynamic and static test equipment


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS



  • To have a good understanding of, and interest in, automotive engineering

  • To have general awareness of safety instructions, operating heavy equipment, high-pressure oil, overhead cranes and forklifts

  • To have basic understanding of operating MTS software and hydraulic-powered test equipment

  • To have basic knowledge of MS Windows and MS Office with regard to producing test reports, databases, spreadsheets, etc., and to the control of equipment

  • To have good communication skills within a teamwork environment

  • To have a good understanding of engineering drawings and an ability to interpret test specifications

  • Due to time critical test schedules, OT, night and weekend shifts might be required

  • International travel might be required.
